New Sora no Otoshimono film stream trailer!
The Kadokawa Anime Channel on YouTube began streaming the 100-second trailer for the Gekijō-ban Sora no Otoshimono: Tokei-jikake no Angeloid film last week.
The project serves as a continuation of the two Sora no Otoshimono (Heaven's Lost Property) anime series, which adapted Suu Minazuki's manga of the same name.
The film, which will introduce a new Angeloid character, will open in Japan on June 25.
Director Hisashi Saito, series script supervisor Yuuko Kakihara and character designer Yoshihiro Watanabe are returning from the television version to work on the film.

Acording to moonphase, the homepage for the new Saiyuki Gaiden OVA series has released a new, second trailer. The first episode of the three-episode series is scheduled for release on the 25th.

Ryō Azuchi's tennis comedy manga centers around the members of a female middle school soft tennis team and the twists and turns that their lives take as they aim for the nationals. Ryouki Kamitsubo is directing the anime at Xebec, and Kanae Itō and Eri Kitamura lead the cast. The series will premiere in Japan on April.

Classic Macross, Astroboy animator passes away in quake
Hiroshi Kakoi, producer and animator on The Super Dimension Fortress Macross II: Lovers, Again and Moldiver original video anime series, passed away during the March 11 earthquake. His wife Kumiko survived the disaster.He also worked as a key animator at the anime studio Artland on the first Macross series (from the first episode onward) and on the 1980 version of Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom). He served as a production manager at Artland and the anime studio AIC.

Kodansha USA will republish Sailor Moon manga!
After being 6 years out of print, this publishing company decided to republish Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon magical girl manga and its two-volume prequel Codename: Sailor V starting this September. The former has been condensed into 12 bi-monthly "deluxe-edition" volumes (from its original 18), and two more volumes of short stories have been added. The new edition — with "new cover art, retouched interior art and dialogue along with extensive bonus material from Takeuchi" — is based on the 2003 Japanese re-release of the manga.
Sailor Moon is a classic anime series which ran from 1992 to 1997.

One Piece episode 490 simulcast delayed
Sunday morning's Japanese broadcast of One Piece episode 490 is expected to be pre-empted by Fuji TV's ongoing coverage of the situation in Japan.
Funimation simulcasts episodes of One Piece every Saturday at 9pm CDT, one hour after the Japanese broadcast. The last episode to be simulcast was episode 489.

Potter alleges that TAI's Knights of the Zodiac infringed on his copyrights and trademarks. In addition to TAI, Potter named the United States of America as a defendant. Potter is seeking an injunction against TAI, US$1 billion in punitive damages, and additional statutory damages.
Toei adapted Masami Kurumada's 1986-1990 mythological fantasy manga Saint Seiya into a 1986-1989 television anime series of the same name. ADV Films and DiC Entertainment released the anime in North America in two versions: a version with English subtitles under the original name, and a version with English dubbing under the name Knights of the Zodiac. As such, Toei filed for registration on a U.S. trademark on "Knights of the Zodiac" for animation, trading cards, clothing, and toys on May 20, 2002, and received the registration on May 20, 2008. The dubbed Knights of the Zodiac version premiered on the American Cartoon Network on August 30, 2003.
The plaintiff and his brother Samuel J. Potter, under the name Potter Boys' Creations, obtained copyright protection for a drawing entitled "Zodiac Knights 2000" on October 10, 1995. They then filed a U.S. trademark for "Zodiac Knights 2000 ZK" for clothing, games, advertising, and other services on February 24, 1997, although the status of this trademark has been "abandoned" and "dead" since April 9, 1998. Excalibur's form is anthropomorphic, similar to a Disney cartoon. The author of the manga, Atsushi Okubo, said that he based this character on his own father. OMG!!! Can you imagine!! (talk about being mean to your parents!)
Excalibur's traits are those of the perfect British gentleman, resembling Fogg's character from the Jules Verne novel, Around the World in 80 days; a cold, meticulous old man who fired his last butler because the water to shave wasn't exactly at 80 C ° degrees.
