According to a press release issued on its website, Sentai Filmworks has acquired the broadcasting rights of Highschool of the dead, the anime series produced by Madhouse.The studio also indicated that this adaptation of the manga by Daisuke Sato and Sato Shouji will be dubbed to English to be broadcasted in the U.S.
Meanwhile, the anime will be simulcasted on the Anime Network starting on July 5, with the first episode available for registered users.
Highschool of the Dead is a story set in an apocalyptic setting, in which a strange and unknown virus has turned humans into zombies around the world. In Japan, Takashi Komuro and Rei Miyamoto, along with their peers and nurse Fujimi High School, are the ones who have survived and are struggling to understand what is really going on.
