Funimation has announced that it has acquired the rights of distribution for the transmission of the Disgaea anime, a 2006 series formerly distributed by Geneon, which is based of a SRPG game called Makae Senki Disgaea, developed by Nippon Ichi Software in 2003..The 12 episodes will now have the possibility of being seen worldwide, as they will come out in DVD rereleased next year.
